Everyone wants AI people will trust; almost no one wants to do the unsexy engineering that earns it. Trust isn't a confident UI or a reassuring press release — it's explainability when things go sideways, honest failure modes, and a system that's calibrated so people believe exactly what it can do and not a watt more. I design for the long version of trust: the kind that compounds quietly instead of the kind you spend in one bad incident.
